On foot
From Sherwood shops on Mansfield Road, walk up the hill until you see the Sherwood Manor pub on your left. Turn left on Edwards Lane and the church is just behind the pub.
By bus
From the city centre, take any of the NCT Purple or Lime line buses from Upper Parliament Street. Purple line buses stop outside the church at the ‘Sherwood Manor’ stop on Edwards Lane. Lime line buses stop at the Magnus Road stop on Mansfield Road, which is just past the Edwards Lane turning.
The site is also served by NCT Blue line 40, Pronto, Calverton Connection, and Sherwood Arrow services.
By car
There is free on-street parking in the area around the church (please check for restrictions and park with consideration for local residents) and at the Hall Street car park just across Mansfield Road. There is no parking on the church site itself.
Access
The site is accessible to wheelchair users. The car park is flat and there is a ramp to access the church hall via the main entrance at the front (see diagram for route). There are toilets inside the church for the use of market traders and customers including a disabled toilet.
If you require any assistance with access then please just ask our friendly event stewards.
Dogs
Dogs on leads are very welcome at the outside areas of the market but dogs and other animals are not permitted inside the church building, except for registered assistance animals. However, if they are free, our event stewards can hold your dog’s lead while you go inside. Please ensure that your dog is comfortable and non-aggressive in the market environment, which can be crowded with people and other dogs.
While you are in the area…
