    The Helen Loewenstein Memorial Trust makes grants to cover course-fees and essential study expenses for student midwives in Liberia who would not otherwise have sufficient funds to become qualified midwives.
    We raise funds to pay for the grants through donations, standing orders, bequests, grants and events and through the sale of arts and crafts in our online shop and stalls at our own and community events.
    Our stall has various items, handmade in Nottingham, using traditional Liberian Lapa fabric, sourced from market traders in Liberia: cushion covers, bags, hair bands, lavender bags, festival bunting and greetings cards. We also sell organically grown indoor and outdoor plants and preserves, donated by our supporters.

    We use organic methods to grow a selection of gourmet mushrooms at a small unit in Carlton, Nottingham.

    Born out of a frustration to find eco-sustainable alternative apparel and pet products such as beds and toys that are also vegan and non-toxic, Rock n Roll Vegan is our new company. We produce handmade pet beds and toys and have our own clothing label where everything is sustainable, vegan and made with non-toxic materials.

  • Spores N Sprouts

    Spores N Sprouts Ltd is an independent grower of fresh microgreens and gourmet mushrooms, based in Nottinghamshire. All produce is grown indoors using clean, sustainable methods — no pesticides, no synthetic fertilisers, and no soil.

    Our microgreens are nutrient-packed and harvested to order. Regular varieties include sunflower, pea shoots, amaranth, beetroot bull’s blood, kohlrabi, fenugreek, and seasonal blends. We also cultivate gourmet mushrooms like lion’s mane, shiitake, and maitake in a dedicated fruiting chamber.

    At our stall you’ll find:

    Veggies Catering Campaign provides pure vegan catering for many campaign events, as well as festival, fairs & markets, and family celebrations. The menu includes our own burgers, handmade at our Sumac Centre base from organic ingredients. We also have samosas, our own sausage rolls and vegan cakes, made by us from organic ingredients, including organic flour from Nottingham’s Greens Mill . Many consider Veggies to be one of the most ethical caterers on the circuit, with 35 years of experience in award-winning vegan / fair trade / organic catering.
